Enrichment - Under Review

6th Form 7.JPG

Our students develop a wide range of skills and personal qualities during their time at the school and we provide them with opportunities to develop into successful young adults ready to take on the challenges of the future.

Our enrichment programme is designed to develop the students personal, social and employability skills.  Dedicated time provides opportunities for a wide range of speakers on a regular basis and, in addition, our tutor programme provides spiritual, moral and social development through discussion and debate on topical, sometimes controversial, issues. Students are encouraged to support the school community by giving some time to help the lower school students with reading and classwork.

Over the past 25 years we have developed strong partnership links with a wide range of organisations.    These enhance the provision that we are able to offer and allow students the in sight into all progression opportunities.  Our links with Universities and employers, together with the strong support of the local community via the Young Enterprise progamme, means that our students experience a variety of potential futures.  All students take part in a Work Experience programme for a minimum of 30 hours, as well as an Employability Masterclasses and a Small Business Challenge.  Each year students attend a University Lecture and Workshop day at Bath Spa University, as well as the UCAS Exhibition at Bournemouth.  These  visits provide an invaluable insight  into potential courses and university life.
